Rosemary has been a nurse on Birthplace for 43 years. Amazing! She gives excellent patient care everyday she works. At times she takes a very heavy patient load of couplets to free up other nurses to care for labor patients. She rarely receives recognition for her heavy patient load because she does not complain at all, she just cares for her patients. She is someone who patients mention at least once every week as standing out and who gives excellent patient care and goes above and beyond to care for them. Rosemary is an example of how nursing can continue to be fulfilling and rewarding even after 43 years.

Rosemary Cage has been willing to come in multiple times to assist during high census. She has been recognized numerous times by her patients as going above and providing quality care. She is always willing to assist other staff members when needed to get their patient up for the first time. She gives generously to our unit projects ie: baby closet, animal shelter and holiday white Christmas collections.

Rosemary always takes excellent care of her postpartum patients. She is very thorough when teaching new families about newborn care. She serves as a resource to other nurses on the unit during the discharge process. During busy days Rosemary remains calm and goes about her day refusing to get caught up in any negativity. Patients are always complimentary about the care they receive from her.

Rosemary goes above and beyond to make sure her patients are taken very good care of. She is always willing to come in and work extra on her days off. She treats each patient like her own family. She puts her heart into everything she does for our unit. As I start nursing school I will carry with me Rosemary's work ethic and hope one day to be as good a nurse as her.
