September 2011 Honoree
rosemary jacimowicz, BSN, RN
Rosemary has been a part of the Mobile Outreach Program and also has a unique role as the city of Asbury Park Nurse. She is an advocate for the mentally ill and disenfranchised individuals. Recently, during Hurricane Irene, a call came from Sandy Van Sant Health Officer that at the shelter in Wall High School, many of the evacuees came from Asbury Park and boarding homes and were having a difficult time with the shelter. Did we have anyone with a mental health background to send? It was Saturday and when I called her she went without hesitation to assist the shelter.
Thank you, Rosemary, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
