I would like to nominate Ms. Rose for the DAISY Award. I was a patient earlier this week and was discharged after a week of hospitalization. I could never thank her enough for being so pleasant and attentive. In one of the days that I was in the hospital, I was in severe pain and I know I was becoming very irritable because of the discomfort I was having. I know I said a few harsh words to the nursing staff, and I really apologize for this. I was not being myself during those times when I was really sick. Rose was very patient with me and did not mind how I was behaving because I guess she understood what was happening, and she knew exactly how to manage me. She was very calm and reassuring. She is also very knowledgeable and skillful. I wouldn’t have survived my hospitalization if not for Rose. She is indeed an asset to her unit.
