She reassured me she would take excellent care of her, and she did not fail in her delivery.
Last October my mother woke up with horrible epigastric pain in the middle of the night. I took her to Queen of the Valley Emergency Department, knowing she would receive the best care. We soon found she had acute cholecystitis, pancreatitis. It hurt me to see her be in so much pain. I felt so relieved when I saw that Rosie Bazurto, RN had been assigned as her primary nurse. Rosie cared for my mother with such compassion and love. I felt like she was taking care of her own mother. She was proactive when it came to doctors orders and advocated for my mom to get a non-COVID room upstairs as quickly as possible, knowing that having her in the ED any longer only increased her chances of contracting COVID. She updated my mother and me frequently and made sure to continually assess her pain, vitals, and comfort level.  I felt at ease knowing that I could leave my mom with Rosie when it came time for me to go home. She reassured me she would take excellent care of her, and she did not fail in her delivery. I am forever grateful to Rosie for taking exceptional care of one of the people I love most in this world.
