Rosmin needs a superhero cape with a big DAISY on it! Baby K was our first COVID positive case in LTCU and every staff felt panic with the diagnosis. When we transferred baby K to another hospital's COVID ICU, the supervisor requested staff from Provita to take care of K in ICU. The Charge Nurse and I found difficulty to find a volunteer but Rosmin worked every single day with K in ICU, until he became negative and was transferred back to long-term care. She was selfless and went beyond for K and for the nursing department. She never demanded accommodation facility, transportation, or any other additional requests to take care of him.
Rosmin is a mother of 2, even though she had worries about going back home from a COVID ICU, her husband arranged a single room in their house so she was able to see them. I called her to check her family situation, they were stronger than me. Rosmin treated K as her third son and went the extra mile by extending her shift in COVID ICU. At the end, she didn't feel that she is doing something great until we called and told her "you are an amazing Nurse". Rosmin is very active in the documentation link group and her approach to her colleagues is something everyone can learn from, very compassionate, sensitive, and respectful to other's feelings.
