Ross England, RN

I never received anything but genuine care from Ross. He is thoughtful, caring, upbeat, and very knowledgeable. There are many stories that demonstrate Ross's caring nature. He has always been thoughtful when flushing the IV line and made note of timing at blood draw so we could minimize the number of times he needed to poke a needle in me. I also loved the fact that Ross explained the purpose of each medication and blood draw. He would explain why something is being done and provide accurate information. One time, there was a chance that I would go to surgery. It was near the end of his shift, very early in the morning, yet Ross was patient and friendly as he came to explain the situation to me. He and the tech helped me get ready. There was no sense of rush but both were kind preparing me for the potential of surgery. In a moment of such uncertainty, Ross's calmness and kindness made a difference. In fact, any time Ross came into the room and took care of me, it was meaningful. He is genuinely nurturing and a very effective nurse. He is well worthy of the prestigious DAISY Award.
