We have been in and out of many hospitals with family members in the last couple of years and have encountered many nurses. When I had my hip replacement and went to my room the nurse assigned to me was Ross. He is very knowledgeable and helpful and made me feel at ease but the one thing that stood out was his compassion to me as a patient. I wasn't just a patient, I was a person too. He took excellent care of me and never was in a rush or annoyed by my questions. He always checked on me and made sure that not only was my new joint and stitches taken care of, but my feelings and mental health were taken care of as well. I was so happy he got to be my nurse both nights that I was in the hospital. I wish all nurses could learn compassion like he has.
