Ross Peters, RN

Our dad was in the Trauma ICU for multiple days as we waited through the process of organ donation. A car accident took the life of our brother and our dad. Ross was our father’s nurse, and through it all, Ross was a steady presence that never hesitated to provide comfort, humor, or just a source of information when we needed it most. While we experienced the worst days of our lives, he made sure that we were never truly alone. When they needed to turn Dad onto his stomach for some testing, he made sure to put him in the most natural and comfortable position. Seeing our dad tucked into the blankets, as if he were fast asleep, was one last visual of peace that we desperately needed. That is just one small example of everything he did for us. Ross always said hello, knew our whole giant family by name, and made us laugh during our darkest times. We will never forget him or the compassion he showed us every time we walked through the hospital doors. Ross, we love you and thank you for all you did for us!
