I was post-op day one when Ross had the knowledge and instinct to call the Rapid Response Team when some people thought it was unnecessary. I am told (I don't remember, thank goodness) that my blood gas pH was 7.1 and I stopped breathing on the way to the ICU. If Ross had not done what he did, I might have been a code blue with a different outcome. I also had Ross as my nurse the two days prior to my discharge and he was an excellent nurse then too. Thank you on behalf of my husband and myself.
Ross is a remarkable nurse and he exemplifies the values of Kaiser Permanente nursing. He provides excellent care, with integrity and compassion; he is a team player, extremely professional, and keeps the patient and family in the center of everything that he does. Ross truly is an extraordinary nurse.
