December 2016 Honoree
roxanna drexler, RN, BSN
Roxanna has made this hospital experience so much easier. The compassion for me on my hardest of nights, talking, easing my mind when I wanted to just break down, cry and curl up in a ball. Her smile is just a pleasure to see in my room. The confidence she gave me to go on another minute, knowing I can push my nurse button and her attendance was abundant. Her ability to change my state of mind during this whole stay here to make me feel so comfy with what I am going through. The knowledge she has to answer my tough questions. When she found out my ileostomy had a name, Roxanna would address the ileostomy by his name when questioning me about Gerod, the ileostomy, it so comforting. That I am not crazy for naming him. My first two nights I had a hard time trying to sleep. She went to work on a plan on what would help me get some sleep. She put in a lot of legwork and when I wanted to not do this anymore she gave me wisdom that this too shall pass. I can not put into words of how this amazing nurse was mine for the stay her ability is astounding. I am blessed. I believe God puts people in your life for a reason and I am truly blessed she was put in mine. She is sincerely an awesome lady and nurse.
Thank you, Roxanna, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
