My family's world was turned upside down when my father came in for a cardiac catheter. I told him not to worry, these are done daily and go smoothly. Typical of medicine, those words would not turn out to be true. Stents failed and the results were to be of dad's last hurrah with his passing. From the beginning of catastrophe, Roxanna was at my side guiding me and assuring I was well informed about what was being done. I have been in para-medicine for 27 years. I only hope that my compassion comes through with families half as well as hers does. I will always have a very special warmth in my heart for Roxanna and her mission to console families in crisis.
