My father's life was long, but his death was somewhat surprising. We sat with Dad all night, after being told he was dying. Roxanne came on duty shortly after. Her goal was to make Dad comfortable, and she did a beautiful job of that. But she also ensured that my sister and I were as comfortable as possible all night long. Her heartfelt compassion linked with her nursing skill made us feel comforted and supported. Roxanne is an exemplary nurse, and I feel blessed that she was ours that night.
