Roy Brooks, RN

Roy, it’s hard for me to write this without tearing up. I need all of you to know that Roy motivated me to keep moving forward. I could barely walk, I was 40 pounds under my normal weight, and I was depressed. Roy said, “I’m here, and I’m not going to leave you.” No one has said that to me, and at that point, I decided to stay. I can walk, dance, and jump. Thanks to Roy, I have hope. I want to live and pay it forward. He deserves this award, hands down. Thanks, Roy.
