Royce Poynter, RN

Walking through the halls of Good Samaritan Hospital, at any time, you could stop a long-term staff member, and they would know who Royce is. They will stop, smile and usually share a fond story about her. Many reflect on how she would always support her staff and never hesitated to jump in and help. She started her career at Good Samaritan Hospital in 1975 on the surgical floor. Her compassion and dedication have led her in her career. She eventually worked her way into management. Royce now works as a Hospital Supervisor at Allenmore. Many staff she worked with, hired, and mentored still work At Good Samaritan. I myself have chosen my career at Good Samaritan far in part because of her influence. She truly has the biggest heart I've ever known. Her dedication doesn't stop with work. She has also been involved with the Multicare Foundation as a donor at many events. In my opinion, there's no better role model.
