From my standpoint, Roza is special, clearly knows her “medical stuff” but also her “bedside manner stuff.” She has a warm and engaging personality and is a pleasure to talk to.
Roza Ramirez was mentioned in multiple DAISY nominations from different patients. One person wrote that Rosa was very attentive, interacted well with family and even came to see how mom was doing when she wasn’t assigned to mom’s care.

Another recognized all the nurses on the floor are polite, caring with good attitudes but mentioned Roza by name.

A third patient wrote: I was a patient at TCH for several days. While all of the nurses who attended to me were excellent, one, in particular, was exceptional. Her name is Roza. The thing that most impressed me is the way she approached her job and related to what she is doing or was going to do that impacted me. She explained to me in great detail every step she took and why she was doing things in a certain way and how that would affect me. When telling me the results of a particular blood or urine test she was able to let me know if a particular level of one thing was good and why it was good and why some other items should be higher or lower. Most patients, I am sure, like me, have little idea why a particular procedure is being done on them and what the results of that procedure really mean. Patients aren’t trained on hospital and medical procedures and there are doctors and nurses who don’t communicate as well as they should or what patients want to know. From my standpoint, Roza is special, clearly knows her “medical stuff” but also her “bedside manner stuff.” She has a warm and engaging personality and is a pleasure to talk to. She is a great mentor to others as I watched her teach student nurses and nursing assistants. She is a credit to your staff and you are fortunate to have her.
