She will also initiate a follow-up to ensure and verify the patient’s condition, even when she’s off duty. She will call the unit and will try to connect with staff just to check on the patient, who may need constant monitoring during her shift. Many times, she will troubleshoot hard-stick patients and is very helpful to staff, and care is delivered in a timely manner.
