Rukhsana advocates for her patients and experiences deep emotions for them. She works tirelessly to ensure her patients are well cared for, advocated for, and their family members are involved and supported. She does not hold patients at arm's length, even though sometimes this might be easier for the provider, especially in advanced illness. She is always "present" with her patients, her humanity and kindness are always present. She inspires us to do the same.
