April 2022 Honoree
Rupal Shah, RN
I drove myself to the emergency department and was admitted to the hospital. During my stay, I was not able to get out of bed without assistance for fear I may fall. I was released to go home and my car was parked in a space near the ED entrance which was a far distance from the inpatient hospital discharge lobby. I did not know how to get to my car, asked for directions, and was pointed away.
When I got out of the elevator a lady walking towards me saw I was stressed and tired when I asked her for further directions. She told me to be seated, she went and got me a wheelchair and took me to my parked car. The lady was Rupal Shah. She went above and beyond with her actions and service. I very much appreciated Rupal's alert and sincere concern. She checked with me to ensure I felt alert and capable to drive myself home before we said goodbye.
