I arrived with my husband at Sauk Prairie ER at 2am on Friday with a plugged catheter that had been placed on Tuesday. He was in a great deal of pain and quite anxious since we had yet to see the urologist to know why he had been unable to void. In addition, getting the catheter initially was quite difficult and painful.

Russell was his nurse from 2am to 7am and was very professional and reassuring. We found out the catheter needed to be replaced, and Russ was patient and knew what to do. His removal of the old catheter and placement of the new catheter was skilled and professional. There was only a little discomfort.

Even though the procedure was a little painful, he was quick and successful in getting the urine to drain. Due to the clots, Russ came back often to check on us and maintained the catheter to keep things open. It was a long and stressful night, and we are so thankful for the care we received.
