I want to express my gratitude for Russell's extraordinary care. This letter cannot do justice in expressing the impact he had on me, as well as my family, during a very difficult time. He took time to speak to me on the telephone, despite an extremely busy day when he was a primary care nurse. As a nurse myself, I know it is hard sometimes to take that time, but as a scared sister, I know what a difference taking that time made. My brother is healing well and Russell played a major role in that. He is the ultimate patient advocate, and in this case, his advocacy saved a life. The time he took, even on the days he was not assigned to care for my brother, was not in vain, and I am so pleased it is being recognized. Russell is a fantastic nurse, full of care and compassion. He not only made us feel better in a scary situation, he made me a better nurse. Thank you, Russell, for all that you have done.
