Russell was cheerful and laughing with me when he had to clean me up several times in one of the most embarrassing moments. He was always cheerful and positive. He bent over backward to accommodate my every need and he spent time answering the millions of questions me and my family had! He always kept us laughing and he left us with smiles on our faces! By the time we left, we claimed him as one of our family!

We can't thank Russell enough for the care and attention he gave my dad for the days my dad was at Memorial Hermann-Southeast. These few days were difficult times for our family. But it could have been much worse if it were not for our nurse and his dedication and expertise. My family and I are truly grateful for the level of care he was able to provide to our dad. We are also grateful for the time you took to talk with us to help us better understand our options. Thank you, Mr. Russell.

Mr. Russell has a big heart and he works great with others. He helped us with our dad and we thank you for being someone we can depend on. He shows his expertise, proving that nurses are just as important as doctors and we thank him.

Mr. Russell, thank you for taking care of our dad. You treated him like a dad. We thank you for that. Your professionalism gives nursing a good name. I have a deep respect for what you do. We thank you. You are very caring and compassionate. You made a huge difference in this delicate time in our lives.

Russell is truly a special kind of nurse. His people skills and how he relates and treats the patients are one of a kind. Russell is always willing to help when he is asked for assistance, whether the patient is assigned to him or not. I have many patients praise Russell for the care he provides and for how he treats them and their family members. One family member stated, "if I could reach up and give Russell all the stars and the moon, I would because he deserves it." Russell is truly a DAISY Nurse.
Note: This is Russell's 2nd DAISY Award!
