The Rapid Response Nurse Ruth Alexandre, immediately responds and meets you at the bedside. The new nurse looks up to Ruth, her nonverbal shows her fear and limited experience. The magic words spoken by Ruth Alexandre change everything.
Ruth jumps into action to treat and stabilize the patient. Ruth looks directly at the new nurse and says, "Together you and I got this." The new nurse exhales and knows for certain that the care that she and Ruth are giving to the patient makes a difference. Ruth ia a mentor, a leader, a teacher, a highly skilled critical care nurse who cares for the patient, and guides the new nurse. The new nurse learns, listens, absorbs all the details.
