Dr. Edwards is a pillar of our Nursing Department.  She demonstrates her commitment to students, patients, and education so consistently, it seems effortless.  Dr. Edwards shares her vast wealth of knowledge with us through class time and by example.  She is deeply concerned with each student, and goes out of her way to make herself available to students.  She truly understands and values our experiences as Nursing students, and she tailors her approach to meet us where we are.
For example, she created Mind & Heart Together Symposium and she has for many years organized it as a forum for Nursing students to share their research.  She also has the foresight to rearrange class material to best prepare students for their clinical experiences.
For me personally, Dr. Edwards is the example of the Nurse and Leader I aspire to be.
