Ruth is an extraordinary nurse for many reasons. The time and care that she provides to patients and their families during difficult times is invaluable to both families and the nurses. She is always willing to come and help us (nurses) thorough difficult situations and is often a shoulder for us to cry on as well.
Ruth helped coordinate an exhibition baseball game for one of the patients on 4-South. Ruth worked with a few other Sentara angels to help make this patients' last days some of her best days.
In a really short time, there was a baseball field backstop and everything needed to host the game. It is an honor to work beside Ruth, and such loving people here at SWRMC.
