Ruth took the time to explain how my wife's heart monitor worked and what lines and bumps meant. Her compassion and care made my wife comfortable at a most painful and difficult time in her life for open heart surgery.
Ruth kept perfect timing on meds, bed changes, ordering food, water, and ice, taking vitals, checking wounds, keeping an eye on fluid and swelling all with a loving, fun, caring attitude.
Ruth has an attitude and sense of humor that would charm a rattlesnake. I feel Ruth is the epitome of an RN. She has risen to the very top of her profession. She is the best RN I have ever had interaction with and that's why she's a true DAISY.

Ruth knew what I needed before I knew or would ask for it. Remarkable skills in doing her job all the while building up my spirit. I was terribly depressed and one shift with her and turned the way I thought and took control of my destiny as a patient.
She was incredibly understanding of why I was rude to other staff. She said being in the hospital as much as I had been for open heart surgery is very scary and people get very homesick and not all people understand us as patients, are helpless. She never had me wait for a thing she always a step ahead. She is a remarkable ray of light in a bleak situation. She gave me back my dignity and will to fight for myself and to listen to my body.
