I want to tell you about a very special nurse who took care of me last night. Her name is Ruth. She worked all night doing all my care including a blood transfusion. She is able to see my needs before I even realized what I was feeling or need. She could multi-task yet remained calm and compassionate. I've been in many hospitals through my 65 years since I have lupus and other issues. I've seen a lot of nurses and had both good and bad experiences. There is something very, very special about Ruth. I, and my roommate, felt very fortunate to be under her care.
