I had an Angioplasty of my Left Leg and Right Renal Artery. I was assigned to “Nurse Ruth” in the Recovery Room. Saying she went far and beyond in her care for me would be saying the least; she was caring for other patients too. She was very patient in applying pressure to my groin and spent extra time so I would not continue bleeding. She also helped me with my incontinence problem without embarrassing me. She was kind and caring to me, and was continuously checking on me and making sure I was comfortable and not cold.

Ruth was concerned that we were not moving to our patient rooms very quickly. When it was my turn, she came with me to my room around 7 pm and stayed until she was assured I was comfortable and in good hands. She apologized several times for the long wait. In the Recovery Room, Ruth was called upon by several people for assistance, both patients and staff. I personally found her a special, caring person, and an asset to the nursing family. I extend my compliments for her nursing skills and love for her profession. I just want to say that in some way I connected with Ruth. I think that she and I could’ve become real friends if I would have encountered her in another situation. Thank you, Ruth!
