Ryan Christie, BSN, RN

Ryan came along in our 5 week SICU stay at the perfect time. After a climbing accident, my husband was in the SICU for 5 weeks battling a myriad of health issues. (He is now on the surgical specialties floor). Ryan was not only competent in his job but also compassionate. He related to B as a "dude" and helped B gain confidence in his potential rehabilitation and in the short term, gain confidence sitting in a cardiac chair. This compassion extended to an enormous effort to get B to the healing gardens where he saw his dog for the first time in weeks, which frankly was a turning point in his recovery in my opinion. The SICU is lucky to have Ryan, as are the patients he cares for.
