He was a ray of Hope. That is what patients need, a listening ear and one that gives hope.
I was confined twice at the Makati Medical Center. During my initial confinement in 2018 and 2022, He played a crucial role in my healing journey. He showed all the attributes of the Makati Med Nurse. From Professionalism, service excellence, integrity, teamwork, and compassion. As a clinically diagnosed patient, I remember the first time when I opened up with him about the truth of why I was admitted to the unit. He listened attentively without judgment. He then pointed out something that made a big impact on me which accelerated my healing process. He told me the reason why patients are placed in the area without any windows. He said that there are no windows because the patients are encouraged and invited to look within. Patients are called to heal from within and are discouraged from lolling outside to rest and relax. On top of the excellent service provided by him, I appreciate him doing more because he listens without judgment. He gave the appropriate response when I was feeling down or losing hope. He was a ray of Hope. That is what patients need, a listening ear and one that gives hope. Aside from these, he exemplifies the hospital with a heart tagline by truly connecting to me on a personal level. He has integrity because he is clean about things I can share with him and I must discuss with my doctor. I sincerely thank him for being a part of my healing journey. He is a rare instrument of God's Healing love that challenges each person to look within. I personally honor him for being one of the most Extraordinary Nurses in the world.
