Ryan Fell, RN on 2West deserves the DAISY Award due to her care, compassion, exceptional clinical skills, pro-active approach, advocacy and comfort she provided to my mother and me during her hospitalization. Some of her outstanding qualities include:
*Recognizing small changes that may have been clinically significant.
*Willingness to seek additional help in assessing a change to assure she provided the most accurate assessment and nursing interventions.
*Providing easily understood explanations of medical conditions and medical interventions related to my mom's care.
*Contacting doctors with a pro-active approach.
*Providing compassionate care that was never rushed, and always provided with respect and dignity.
I felt great comfort when I knew Ryan was the nurse caring for my mom. She is an exceptional nurse who is very dedicated to her profession and to the care she provides her patients.
