Ryan greeted mom with dignity and a smile asking, “How can I help you?” and giving encouragement that tomorrow would be a better day.
My mom is 85 years old and was admitted with cellulitis in her lower right leg. I spent every night with mom while in the hospital. Mom is extremely overweight and unable to control her bladder. The awesome duo of RN Ryan and RN K were such a joy. They never once made mom feel as if she were a burden. They explained test results and why the doctor was taking these steps toward recovery. They were courteous. My mom required RN Ryan and RN K to work as a team which entailed changing the bedding of a 300-pound woman several times through their shift. Never once were they hateful or acted annoyed, but greeted mom with dignity and a smile asking, “How can I help you?” and giving encouragement that tomorrow would be a better day. Mom did so much better this stay in the hospital than several from the past and I contribute the outcome to the dedication of their work and the positive attitude of these two RNs. RN Ryan and RN K, thank you for caring for my mother.
