That kind of selflessness and awareness in a nurse in his position is extremely rare.
I was floated down to the ICU to take ED Hold patients since the hospital was on diversion. Ryan was there that day working in his Clinical Leader role. However, when he learned I would be getting all ED admission holds, he quickly stepped in to help without hesitation.
Words cannot express the kindness he showed me that shift. He helped with everything, charting, passing medications, getting patients connected to monitors, and so much more. Beyond the physical help, he provided constant encouragement and lifted my spirits throughout the day. His support truly made all the difference.
Because of Ryan, I was able to take a lunch break and even leave at a reasonable time, which honestly wouldn’t have been possible otherwise. What makes this even more meaningful is that he wasn’t scheduled to do floor work that day, yet he saw someone struggling and made it his mission to help.
His actions speak volumes, as I am not even an ICU nurse; I was just floated down there to take over flow patients. That kind of selflessness and awareness in a nurse in his position is extremely rare.
Ryan is a true leader who leads by example every single day. I feel incredibly grateful and blessed to work alongside such an amazing nurse.
Working with nurses like Ryan truly makes each shift smoother and more positive. He brings an incredible wealth of knowledge to the team, and consistently supports his coworkers in meaningful ways. His willingness to step in, guide others, and offer encouragement does not go unnoticed.
Ryan is the kind of nurse who inspires those around him to perform at their highest potential. He fosters a positive, uplifting environment on the floor while maintaining exceptional bedside care. It is a privilege to work alongside someone who leads with both skill and kindness.
