My daughter-in-law was only 31 years old, a wonderful wife to my son, and a brand-new mommy of my 5 1/2-month-old grandson. She was diagnosed with liver cancer two months ago, and so quickly went to be with the Lord. Ryan was such a support system for her during her last day on earth. They took her to have an MRI, and Ryan was right there to guide her through every step.
After the MRI, she was taken to the ICU where Ryan stood by her side and explained in detail everything they were doing, so she would feel comfortable. He had such a fun sense of humor; he continually made her laugh to ease the transition. The following morning Ryan stopped by the ER to check on her, just a few minutes after her passing. His sincere care for her was so evident, as he shared how she had touched multiple hospital staff with her fighting and beautiful spirit.
