Ryan Kauffman, BSN, RN

My husband, F was admitted due to respiratory distress from COVID. After a few days, he was taken to the ICU where he would remain for 22 days until he passed away. While F was able to stay off the ventilator, he had 6 days of great care given by Ryan. He was compassionate and very calming in times of anxiety. Ryan took his time, with care but did all the extra things going above and beyond to make F feel cared for. F mentioned Ryan as being his favorite nurse and I feel this is important to honor Ryan in F’s memory. As F’s wife and also a fellow nurse, I too, felt F was in great hands being cared for by Ryan. While all nurses were great, Ryan just was exceptional. I thank you for this from the bottom of my heart!
