RN Marczynski cared for two elderly retirees in the month of March and took the time to give each man a shower and a shave, purchasing shaving materials on his own
ENS Marczynski is a phenomenal RN. I hear nothing but wonderful comments about the care he provides from his patients and his overall demeanor from his patients. His customer service skills are top notch and his gentle and caring nature towards patients from all walks of life definitely shows. He listens to patients who just need someone to talk to. He goes out of his way to make others feel seen and like a person not just a patient in a bed.

RN Marczynski cared for two elderly retirees in the month of March and took the time to give each man a shower and a shave, purchasing shaving materials on his own. He even purchased hearing aid batteries for one of the patients when it was apparent that family was not going to be able to replace them in a timely manner.

One of the patients refers to him affectionately as the “salt and pepper gentleman” and everyone under his care claims that he is an upstanding gentleman. Parents are pleased with the way he cares for their children when they are admitted and service members look forward to having him as their nurse the next day.

He is very pleasant to work with, willing to learn from mistakes, asks great questions of both other RNs and the MDs, and is enthusiastic about teaching our corpsmen. He provides quality and safe patient care that earns him and the ward positive ICE comments. His background as a prior corpsman is a great resource and inspiration for our current corpsmen, and you often hear him offering advice to them. He often volunteers to assist with IV and blood draw training for the corpsmen by offering his own veins. Patients are fortunate to have him as a nurse and the MSW is fortunate to have him as a teammate. He is a great asset to have!
