Earlier this year I received excellent care from Ryan in the labor and delivery unit. My situation was unique in that I delivered my 2nd child stillborn. Nothing can prepare you for that day. We arrived and got the news that Ryan would be our nurse for the day. When she walked in she could have started right away but she didn't. She sat with us. She cared about us as a whole. She took care of us physically, emotionally and mentally. That's a sign of an exceptional nurse. That's rare. As we move forward we will always remember the care we received from Ryan. She helped mend our hearts. I love this quote from Steve Jobs, "Your work is going to fill a large part of your life and the only way to be truly satisfied is to do what you believe is great work. And the only way to do great work is to love what you do." Ryan is an exceptional nurse because she loves what she does.
