In my eyes, Ryan saved my husband's life and for that, we will be forever grateful.
Ryan is exceptional at his job. He is very attentive to his patients. My husband D was in the NICU on Rhodes 2 after brain surgery to remove a cancerous tumor. D had been discharged and went home but his incision was leaking spinal fluid he was readmitted 10 days later and he had an external drain put in. One day Ryan was helping D back in bed from the chair and I heard Ryan ask D if he felt a flutter in his chest and my husband said yes. Next thing I know many nurses rushed into the room and were working on D. After they got him stable Ryan explained to me that D's heart rate dropped very low at one point it was zero. Ryan was very attentive and made sure nothing happened to D while waiting for the Cardiologist to come to the room. D had a temporary pacemaker put in and tests were run. All during this, Ryan was by D's side and we were fortunate enough to have Ryan as D's nurse on Sunday also. In my eyes, Ryan saved my husband's life and for that, we will be forever grateful. Ryan deserves this award and any others that are out there as he is our Super Hero Nurse. The way the team and Ryan worked to ensure D remained breathing was incredible. I was so scared but had a calm over me as I was so amazed at the way everyone worked together. I already knew D was in the right hospital this just reassured me.
