We are deeply grateful to him and the outstanding care he provided.
My father, who is 80 years old, was admitted after breaking his femur and has been largely immobile and has suffered a stroke. During this very stressful time for our family. This nurse truly made a difference.
From the moment he took over care, Ryan was very attentive, compassionate, and thorough. He addressed all our concerns but went above and beyond, advocating directly with the physicians to ensure my father received the care he needed. After a couple of days without proper positioning support, he took it upon himself to locate wedges and reposition my father to prevent further complications.
He didn't stop there; he proactively arranged for an air mattress without being asked. He patted my father's heels and bottom with maple to keep him safe. He also added the SCD machine since my father is immobile. He also ensured my father was given proper pain medication prior to his MRI scan, showing compassion in anticipating his needs. He went above and beyond for the entirety of his shift.
His attention to detail, advocacy, and genuine compassion did not go unnoticed. He treated my father with dignity and respect, and we felt completely safe with our father in his care. We are deeply grateful to him and the outstanding care he provided. He truly embodies what it means to be an exceptional nurse.
