I truly feel that he cares for our department and does his best to nurture and educate the staff which helps us to provide the best possible care for our patients.
Ryan is an amazing leader. He always takes the time to ask us if we need anything every day. Ryan is always available to assist with IVs for our difficult-to-access patients. He is a phenomenal educator and will take the time to explain conditions and procedures to us that we are unfamiliar with and fosters an environment of learning and growth within our department. Ryan will take the time out of his day to go to procedures with patients or help us with tasks when we are overwhelmed. I truly feel that he cares for our department and does his best to nurture and educate the staff which helps us to provide the best possible care for our patients. Ryan is a wonderful leader and deserves to be recognized for the impact he makes every day.

As a unit manager, Ryan is a great and compassionate leader in many ways. Monday thru Friday he checks in multiple times with the unit to ensure all our concerns are addressed. When we are short, he stays over or works his magic to ensure we get additional coverage. If a patient care concern or nursing skill question comes up, he normally stops what he is doing to find the answer and explains it in a way that is easy to understand. Whenever there is a code/rapid response on our floor, he usually is there before the code team arrives, assisting in any way that he can. Anytime we need assistance, even if a patient needs assistance ambulating to the restroom Ryan will jump in and do that. Overall, he really cares for our unit and our staff and never hesitates to jump in and help. As far as motivation, Ryan and his family cooked a whole Thanksgiving feast for the day and night shifts and personally delivered it on Thanksgiving Day. Two separate meals, hand-delivered and home cooked. This gesture was a great morale boost while working the holiday.
