I would like to commend Ryann Conners for the extraordinary care she provided as my primary nurse while I was being evaluated in the trauma bay. As a physician and as a student, I have worked alongside emergency nurses and understand the intensity, complexity, and teamwork required in this environment. Ryann exemplified the highest standards of emergency nursing!

From the moment I arrived, she projected a calm, confident presence that immediately helped reduce the anxiety of an already stressful situation. Despite managing the many responsibilities that come with trauma care, she never lost sight of checking in on my overall well-being. She communicated clearly about what was happening, anticipated my needs before I had to ask, and ensured I felt informed and included throughout my evaluation.

What impressed me most was how seamlessly Ryann balanced technical excellence with genuine compassion. She coordinated care efficiently, remained attentive during every interaction, and treated me with dignity and respect even in the fast-paced environment of the trauma bay. Her composure inspired confidence, and it was evident that she was an essential part of a highly functioning team.

As someone who works in healthcare, I recognize that the skill required to make complex care appear effortless comes from experience, preparation, and deep commitment to patients. Ryann demonstrated all of these qualities. She not only delivered exceptional clinical care but also made me feel safe, heard, and cared for during a vulnerable moment. Ryann embodies the qualities the DAISY Award is intended to recognize. Her professionalism, compassion, and unwavering dedication to her patients make her an exceptional nurse, and I am grateful that she was part of my care team.
