I parked in the parking lot across from Urgent Care at the South Sacramento Kaiser. I collapsed in the parking lot and Rylie Dorsey (an emergency room nurse coming back from her lunch break) was close by and saw what happened and immediately was on me doing compressions to keep me alive until the emergency staff could get to me. I understand that she did compressions for 10 minutes, determined not to lose me.

Her determination and skills, I feel literally saved my life. I would not be here today had it not been for Rylie’s immediate response to my situation.

After I was in ICU, she was able to track me down and came by to see me. I could not thank her enough for saving my life. Also, I want to thank her for my loved ones who did not lose me that day.

Rylie deserves to be acknowledged for her actions within the medical community.
