Renee showed remarkable team efforts for our Heart and Vascular Institute which consists of 4 different units. Renee was not scheduled to work on Christmas day, nor was she the "manager on call" for that day. (Renee's unit) 5D was staffed, but CCU was in desperate need of a nurse. Holidays are almost impossible to find extra help. Despite it being Christmas Day when Renee should have been at home with her family, she cared for 3 patients in CCU with an amazing attitude. Not only did Renee give remarkable patient care, she far exceeded any expectation of a leader, co-worker, friend etc. Renee went above and beyond, and her dedication should not go unnoticed. I am grateful to have Renee on our team. She is recognized by many around our facility and I doubt one person would disagree that Renee Dennis deserve The DAISY award for her hard work and dedication. We appreciate you, Renee!
