I arrived at the Hackensack Meridian and was admitted into 4West under the care of Sabina. I was so happy and impressed by the care that Sabina showed and how she was able to comfort me during this tumultuous time for me and for my family. Sabina was able to explain to me all the medications I was getting and what they meant for me. She did the same with all the tests I needed to take and what they were and how they would feel to me and what they were looking for. However, Sabina went above and beyond when she overheard me and my wife had just received some news regarding my condition.

We were devastated, broken, and confused. We couldn’t process our lives going forward and what the test results even meant. Sabina went beyond being a nurse to my family and understood everything that was happening. Sabina comforted my wife who was in tears at what we learned. Sabina sat with us for as long as needed. Spoke to me about why my body wasn’t doing well, and how to understand how I got there, but most importantly Sabina provided hope that my family and I would still have a meaningful life after I leave this wonderful wing and for that, I am so grateful. Her help also made it possible to talk to my young son and give him the same positive mindset that Sabina gave my wife and me regarding my condition. I will leave her knowing my future is bright and loved and that would not have happened if Sabina did not provide the amazing and beautiful care that she gave not just to me but also to my entire family.
