My wife suffered a ventricular hemorrhage followed by a small stroke; an event that we could not anticipate and from which we will recover. Arriving in Anchorage, we became patients at Providence Hospital with no expectations, no experience, and simply at the mercy of the staff and their knowledge.
What became evident was the excellence of care, the vastness of knowledge, and the underlying mission founded within the core values of Providence: Respect, Compassion, Justice, Excellence, & Stewardship.
Sabrina Weller, RN truly stands out amongst the many individuals who worked on behalf of my wife. She treated my wife with respect at all times despite my wife's pain. She demonstrated compassion while maintaining her professional standards while always doing the right thing, the excellent thing. She also demonstrated a high level of humility despite my many attempts to compliment her and her care.
She simply deserves all recognition but mostly our genuine thanks in a time of uncertainty in our lives. Her encouragement and humble humanity made a difference.
