Sadie remained calm and knowledgeable about what intervention needed to be done to improve his readings.
During my labor experience, Sadie was caring and consistently checking in on how I was doing. She knew exactly what to do to help my labor progress as needed and how to help me through the entire experience. After my baby was born, she was so reassuring, kind, and gentle in her care for me. I’m so glad she was a part of my care team. Her sweet, compassionate personality and calm presence were greatly appreciated during my daughter’s birth.

I came in for a scheduled induction at 40 weeks. After struggling with infertility for years and finally getting pregnant with our miracle IVF baby, my husband and I were beyond excited to meet our little one, but also nervous as this was our first time going through labor. In comes Sadie, the sweetest nurse we have ever met. She was very calming and encouraging for us the entire day. Helping me breathe through my contractions and change positions as needed for the baby. Answering my husband’s questions and helping him try to comfort me.
Toward the end of my labor, extra nurses kept coming in to check on us. Being in the medical field myself, I figured that meant that they were seeing things on the fetal monitor that were of concern, but the entire time, Sadie remained calm and knowledgeable about what intervention needed to be done to improve his readings. Throughout the entire process, my husband and I were never overly stressed or worried because we could tell that we were in good hands and that Sadie would get us through it. Labor progressed very quickly towards the end of her shift when I went from a 3 to a 10 and baby was ready to go. She got Dr. G very quickly, and it seemed like within a matter of minutes, our baby was born healthy and safely. We were so thankful to have Sadie all day and that we delivered while she was still on shift. She made me proud to say I work at Stormont Vail Health, knowing that there are nurses like her taking care of patients. Thank you, Sadie!
