Sadie was assigned a very difficult patient on 6CN. He was non-compliant, leaving the grounds as well as engaging in high risk behaviors while missing. When he returned Sadie spent time with him, cared for him and treated him respectfully. Later, the patient came to see Sadie. He sought her out, telling her that because of her kindness, concern, and respect shown to him, he had been "clean" for 30 days. He wanted her to know that she had a direct impact on his life and his need to turn his life around.
