We have a patient who has been without an income for over a year. Two of our team members went home one evening and purchased a multitude of items to help him get through the next two weeks. We already have more team members volunteering to help with his next round of pantry items. Another team member found and created a list of four different food pantries that give out free food throughout the week and a church that gives out hot meals. I am so grateful my team leads with compassion and goes above and beyond for our patients every single day. To see the smile on his face when he was presented with the food items made my entire year. He was so thankful and could not believe the kindness that was being shown. We truly have a wonderful team in infusion, and I am proud to lead them and learn from them.
