She was nominated by a patient’s family member, who said Sarah treated the patient as if he were her own family member, greeting him with a smile and a gentle voice during each interaction.

“She was so thorough with explaining what pills or medications she was giving him and what she was going to do so that he was not ever confused,” the woman wrote, adding, “She made my family comfortable, interacted with us, and spoke to us like regular people and not in medical words we can’t understand. She was very lovely.”
