Salam spreads positive energy on the unit; she is liked and commended by her colleagues, the medical team and the pharmacists who work with her. She receives lots of thank you letters from parents for her support and care she provides. In addition, Salam is a senior NICU nurse, she is the one of the two only NRP instructors in NICU. She is resourceful, knowledgeable, acts as care coordinator on the unit. She is also a mentor and preceptor.
