Today is my daughter's special birthday "Sweet 16". I was feeling devastated, sad, and felt like I was letting her down. Every time I would ask for assistance, I felt like a burden. But, Salanda always smiled and made me feel so validated with my requests. I asked her about allowing my wife to bring my family here for a small "Sweet 16" birthday party. Not only did she keep her positive and uplifting spirit towards my needs, but actually cared about the importance of my family being here as I am admitted. She arranged chairs, helped if needed and cleared us safely to light my baby's birthday candle.
